Assistant Director of Public Relations and the Annual Fund

The assistant director of public relations and the annual fund reports to the assistant to the president/director of development.

Primary Job Summary: Manage public relations activities and provide essential development and office assistance as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include providing oversight to the production of print, web-based, and electronic communications and materials, creating positive interactions with the local and extended community, coordinating and leading public relations trips with students, making donor visits, coordinating the direct mail program for the annual fund and other funding needs, and managing donor records.

Supplemental Ministry:  All staff are expected to participate in areas of the Oakdale ministry beyond the confines of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities as listed above.

Education and Experience:  A college degree is preferred. Previous experience in fundraising and public relations is preferred, but not required.
