President’s Message…

Dear Friends:

Thank you for visiting our website!  The opportunity to attend Oakdale Christian Academy is a privilege, and if you are considering attending Oakdale, or are looking at Oakdale as a possible place for someone you know to enroll, I invite you to explore this website, call our admissions department, and make plans to visit campus.

I recently heard the parent of a student from 20 years ago tell about visiting several boarding schools with his son.  They visited Oakdale which, at that time, had very poor facilities (I’ll tell you later about the night-and-day improvements we’ve made to our campus), but his son met staff members who seemed to really care about him, and as he met other students he felt that he could “fit in.”

After visiting Oakdale, they visited another boarding school that had really nice facilities, plus big screen TVs (which weren’t as common 20 years ago) – all the things that would make a parent feel good about the place they would enroll their child.  This parent tells that they had been there just about a half hour when his son said, “Let’s go.  I want to go to Oakdale.  I think they get me there.”  This parent was astounded!  But his son attended Oakdale, loved it here, and remains in touch with us on a regular basis.

Back to our facilities.  During the past twenty years, every campus building has had either major renovations or has been removed and replaced.  The Beacon Center, our classroom and gymnasium building, was completed in 2005, and provides state-of-the-art technology in classrooms and one of the best gymnasiums in the area among schools our size.

The boys’ dorms and girls’ dorms have had major improvements, and now a new effort is underway to build a new girls’ dormitory and build an addition to the boys’ dormitory.  These projects are expected to be complete during the 2013-14 year.

Dig deeper and you’ll find many aspects of Oakdale Christian Academy that make us unique and a very positive experience for our students:

Serving 50 students in grades 7-12 annually, Oakdale provides a high quality education with a traditional curriculum infused with a Biblical world view and supported by cutting-edge technology. Oakdale is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International. An 80 percent college enrollment rate of Oakdale graduates is evidence of a quality educational program.

Oakdale Christian Academy was founded in 1921and has a rich history, and continues to provide a distinctively Christian education to students seeking challenge, change and personal growth. In the classrooms and dormitories, on the sport fields, in the dining hall and church, any building and any setting is a place where students are directed toward the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Oakdale Christian Academy is much more than a school to our students. It is a community.
We are a family. I encourage you to make yourself at home as you wander through the pages of this website, learning about the opportunities Oakdale offers and meeting the highly qualified staff and faculty who make this a dynamic and effective place of learning.
