On June 12, 2002, Oakdale Christian Academy was approved by the Ohio River Valley Accreditation Commission as officially meeting the standards of the Association of Christian Schools International.  The school's self study project was coordinated under the direction of President Dan Fisher. The school is Free Methodist and was founded in 1921.  The school consists of grades 7-12, was recently visited and inspected by a team of educators led by Chairman, Randy Ross from Canton, Ohio.  

Accreditation by ACSI is a recognition granted to a sound Christian school for a period of seven years as determined through careful research into the status of the school.  Its effectiveness is determined by the extent to which it meets the needs of its students and the persons whom it serves.  Accreditation confirms that the school has met the minimum standards established by ACSI for accredited schools in such areas as the organization and administration, instructional program, faculty preparation and proficiency, media services, finances, student activities, budget, various services, and school plant.  

ACSI is a service organization serving Christian schools and colleges across the United States and around the world.  Its mission is to provide leadership, programs and services in order to bring about excellence in these schools to the glory of God.  It is dedicated to fostering unity among all Christian schools and educators, edifying, exhorting and encouraging individuals through Christian education; helping schools define and implement a Christ-centered Christian principles into the school's total program; promoting excellence education in schools; stimulating continuous spiritual and professional growth in personnel and defending and providing support for schools in the area of legislative concerns.  ACSI presently has a membership of over 5,000 schools and colleges and a student enrollment of over one million students.
