Oakdale was founded over 80 years ago because of a desire to introduce young people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. That remains our driving commitment today. Every staff member at Oakdale has a vibrant testimony and comes to Oakdale to share their lives with teenagers from around the world. Our goal is that our faith would permeate everything we do at Oakdale. Yes, we have Bible classes, chapel services, church on Sunday and small groups on Wednesday but we strive to model a faith which is part of all of life. We work to incorporate God’s truth, as revealed in the Bible, into everything we do. We pray that our students will see their entire lives - whether it’s church, basketball, or taking out the trash - as something that glorifies God. We are also committed to teaching students to lead by serving. We offer regular opportunities for students to serve including a Big Buddies program, nursing home and community visitation, puppet team and ministry team as well as events such as 30 Hour Famine. We welcome you to come and be a part of our worshipping community.

“Anyone can observe the Sabbath, but making it holy surely takes the rest of the week.” Alice Walker
